President Obama says the U.S. needs a carbon tax to help stem the effects of climate change

The president, who was the driving force behind the Paris climate agreement, suggested in February the U.S. only needs a carbon tax to help stem the effects of climate change.

“For 50 years we have had a very expensive gasoline tax,” he said, “and we will continue to have a very expensive gasoline tax as long as I’m president.”
