Oprah Winfrey to join Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams for a virtual campaign event, the first major televised Democratic gubernatorial campaign event of the 2018 midterm elections

Atlanta – Oprah Winfrey has joined Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams for a virtual campaign event, the first major televised Democratic gubernatorial campaign event of the 2018 midterm elections.

The first major televised Democratic gubernatorial campaign event of the 2018 midterm elections, to be held in Washington, D.C. later this month, will also feature former Vice President Joe Biden and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

A virtual campaign event featuring Oprah Winfrey will air on The Oprah Winfrey Show Wednesday, Oct. 26, at the same time it airs on Lifetime.com. The Oprah Winfrey Show airs Wednesday at 10 p.m. on Lifetime.com, while the broadcast portion of the event airs on Lifetime.com at 10 p.m.

Winfrey will join Abrams for a segment titled “The Oprah Winfrey Show” at the event, which will be streamed live on the show’s Facebook page.

At the same time, a second major televised Democratic gubernatorial campaign event hosted by Abrams, to be held in New York City will feature Biden and Clinton.

Biden, the front-runner for the Democratic presidential nomination, will be speaking in New York City at the same time, while Clinton will be speaking in Atlanta.

Abrams is running for governor of Georgia, the nation’s most populous state with more than 2.5 million people who are of voting age. She is also running for U.S. Senate in 2020.

Abrams and Winfrey will join the 2020 Democratic presidential hopefuls, including Biden, Senator Kamala Harris of California, Mayor Pete Buttigieg of South Bend, Indiana, former Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper, Minnesota Senator Amy Klobuchar, New Jersey Senator Cory Booker and Pete Buttigieg, Mayor Pete Buttigieg of South Bend, Indiana.

Winfrey was born in 1941, the daughter of two former Olympic gold medalists, and became one of America’s top talk show hosts. The first talk show Winfrey starred on was The Oprah Winfrey Show, which launched in 1996.
